VII.1. Out-of-Core Tensor Approximation of
Multi-Dimensional Matrices of Visual Data
VII.2. VideoShop: A New Framework for Video Editing
VII.3. Sparse Lumigraph Relighting by
Illumination and Reflectance Estimation from Multi-View Images The goal of the project is to develop a novel relighting approach that does not assume that the illumination is known or controllable. Instead, we estimate the illumination and texture from multi-view images captured under a single illumination setting, given the object shape.
VII.4. Head-mounted projective display technology The objective of this project is to develop a novel visualization device referred to as head-mounted projective display (HMPD), build a multi-user interactive workbench with tele-presence capability that can be used for a wide range of applications such as collaboration/tele-collaboration, tele-presence, tele-manipulation, and visualized education/tele-education. Collaborators: Dr. Jannick Rolland and Dr. Frank Biocca
