I am a Ph.D. candidate in Computer Science Department and a research assistant at the Computer Vision and Robotics Lab, Beckman Institute, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. I have been working on gesture recognition and motion pattern recognition with Narendra Ahuja, face detection/recognition with David Kriegman, and learning algorithms, (SNoW), learnability, and object recognition with Dan Roth. I have been supported in part by the Ray Ozzie Fellowship.
I was with Electrical and Computer Engineering Department from 1996 to 1998, and then with Computer Science Department from 1998 to 2000. Prior to that, I studied at University of Texas at Austin, University of Southern California, and National Tsing-Hua University, Taiwan.
