Biography:
Esther Resendiz is a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering. She primarily focuses on learning models of motion from video, and has previously studied spatial-frequency techniques for motion segmentation. She also collaborates frequently with the Railroad Program in the Civil Engineering Department, and is currently applying computer vision to track inspection. She is also the co-founder of Fashion Latte Inc., a visual search startup for the online apparel domain, which she started with Bernard Ghanem and Sanketh Shetty in July 2008.
