I am currently a graduate research assistant at the Computer Vision
and Robotics Lab (CVRL) at the
Beckman Institute for Advanced Science and Technology, Urbana, IL. My
PhD candidacy is in the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department
at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
My advisor is
Professor Narendra
Ahuja, who heads CVRL. My work with
him has concentrated on modeling dynamic texture from video for the
purpose of non-trivial synthesis, recognition, compression, and removal.

My research interests in computer vision
include:
-
Modeling dynamics (especially
pseudo-random), which aims at improving motion estimation
(optical flow), motion segmentation, video compression,
video segmentation, and activity recognition
-
Developing efficient algorithms for NCUT
problems with general convex constraints
-
Studying the perceptual effects of
distortion on image quality
-
Exposing digital image forensics
